Old Car

Today's picture shows an old car loaded up with children. The picture was taken in 1905, so this is a very early automobile, but I am not sure of the make or model. An interesting picture none-the-less.

  1. I'm sure this will remind some folks of the 1950 film version of "Cheaper by the Dozen" with Clifton Webb and Myrna Loy.

  2. 1905? That looks like a concrete driveway.

  3. I just hope they don't hit any bumps in the road, or they could lose a couple of kids!

  4. With one possible exception, they look to be all girls of the same approximate age. Could this be a class picture? And the driveway might just be in front of a firehouse. I'm thinking back to your Firehouse Week, and some of them in this same era did have paved areas in front of the firehouse. There certainly is a large doorway behind the car, probably tall enough for a fire engine.
