Bank Run

Today's picture shows a full blown Bank Run in Germany. The run was started with the declaration of war in 1914. This was the start of World War I. What tough times, bank runs and world war.

  1. Interesting. In the 1929 US pictures, I don't remember seeing women in the crowd. Here, there are a few, to judge by the hats. Very desperate. You can also tell the desperation by the number of guards at the (very fancy) doors of the bank.
