Refueling in Sudan

Today's picture is from 1936 and show a British Imperial Airways plane being refueled in Khartoum, Sudan. Again, a magnificent aeroplane!

  1. This wonderful picture shows either a Handley Page H.P.42 or H.P.45. Eight aircraft flew throughout the 1930s in civil service and were pressed into RAF service at the outbreak of WWII. By 1940, all were lost.
