Hopi Potter

Today's picture shows a Hopi Potter showing off her work. The picture shows the very fine work of these people with almost no equipment. This picture was taken in 1903.

  1. It's not surprising that Hopi (and other tribal) pots from this period are extremely expensive these days. In fact, the only place they really belong is in museums, especially special museums showcasing Native American artwork. I particularly love the large one tilted on its side on the left of the photo.
