Florida Trailer

This is another trailer park in Florida. This picture was taken in 1937. These trailers look like they are being used as residences and not for travel. The parks appear to be very well groomed, and the people are keeping them neat. Rent at this park was $5 per week, and included electricity and water.

  1. I haven't seen one of those lawn mowers in ages, but I did push one as a kid, before my dad got an electric :)

  2. While these trailers don't have the skirts, etc that would become popular later, I agree they look fairly permanent. The man is dressed like an office worker, not a vacationer, too. And the little girl looks like she's coming home from school. I've used a lawn mower like that too, long past the 1930s.
