Each day we bring you one stunning little glimpse of history in the form of a historical photograph. Enjoy!
The "basic" dress is short, but with those long panels, she'd have had trouble dancing the Charleston! The headband was, for formal wear, the signature of the Twenties. The dress seems to be embroidered with sequins and beads, maybe even (fake) pearls along the edges of the panels. The weight of beads would have made them sway when she walked. As always, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I like this dress much better than the first one you showed us!
