I loved her as Mrs. Cosmo Topper in "Topper" and "Topper Returns". A brilliant stage actress before films.Before she took the role of the Good Witch, she had retired from acting after marrying a rich man. But when they lost their money in the stock market crash, she went back.
I didn't realize she was Mrs. Topper! I loved that show. Good clean humor - not like today's shows.
SHe was also Lionel Barrymore's wife in "Dinner at Eight"...a phenomenal film based on the play.
