Parted Beard

This picture is from 1912, and it shows a rather unusual style of beard. It is as if the man is parting the beard into left and right sections. Overall, a fairly well dressed man.

  1. There must be some kind of logic behind the "splitting of the beard." Wonder what it is. Yesterday's guy would definitely need a "mustache cup" to enjoy a cup of coffee.

  2. Many men's beards naturally curl to the right and left, naturally forming a parted beard when let grow long. Those parts have a name, which I don't remember and can't seem to find online. Anyone know that word?
