Each day we bring you one stunning little glimpse of history in the form of a historical photograph. Enjoy!
It is beautiful workmanship, too bad it is not in color.
The quilts from last two days are amazing. Such beauty amid all the hard times. I do hope relatives still have the quilts and cherish them.
Another lovely quilt. I think quilts are so beautiful and each unique in their own way. I've helped most of my kids now make large lap quilts (with a simple design) for 4-H projects and they are all so special. Great week, PJM! -Anne K.
That is a work of art. I noticed the cloth on the top and the bottom of the door frame. his picture was taken pretty much at the height of the dust bowl era. In OK. that must of been pretty rough days with the depression going on as well.
With all the hardships these women endured........finding the time to make such masterpieces!!!!
The pattern is the Dresden Plate pattern and it's lovely. I bet it was all hand stitched and hand quilted also.
