New Mexico Rodeo

Today's picture shows some spectators at a rodeo in Quemado, New Mexico. The picture was taken in 1940. Seems like Rodeo Week has been more about the spectators than the performers, but I just really enjoy the relaxed demeanor of the people. Takes us back to a time when live was lived at a slower pace.

    1. If you're in the South Jersey, Philadelphia, or Delaware area...there is one which runs every weekend in the summer, called the Cowtown Rodeo.

They claim to be the longest running weekly rodeo in the US. (60 years, run by the same family)
Check out their website...you'll have a great time if you go.
