That is an awful lot of cabbage...what do you do with that amount of cabbage...make KIMCHI? only if you are Korean...sauerkraut? only if you are German...what do you suppose she did with it? Took it to the local market for fresh produce? 1940? Could have used it for barter...??

No TV. Maybe a radio. Time was spent doing other things.
Oh my word!! How beautiful!! My poor little cabbages are always like LACE! I can't see a bug hole anywhere....and this was before gallon jugs of bug sprays! This woman is my hero. I wish she were my neighbor, so she could tutor me..And all that pretty white laundry hanging up too!
