Sad Day in Dallas

Today's picture was taken in Dallas on November 22, 1963. This was a sad day indeed for this city, and the entire nation.

  1. I remember sitting in science class and the teacher coming in, telling us he needed to tell us something...

  2. Daddy was in Viet Nam, so we were living with my grandmother. I was in second grade, we were sent home without being told what was going on. It was confusing. My family was divided politically but everyone was shocked.

  3. We can all remember where we were when the news came through ......

    All the best Jan

  4. I was in gym glass and the teacher (who wa s big burly man) said we were being sent home, and it looked like he hadbeen crying.
So strange for a kid. And so sad.

  5. One of the few photos from that day where all of the parties in the Lincoln are looking in the same direction. It looks as if they are (excepting Nellie Connally who is looking upward) setting their eyes on a certain person/thing. Sad day in US History for certain.
