Denver Crowd

This is an interesting picture of a neighborhood in Denver. The picture was taken in 1895. The crowd was there because they wanted to see a faith healer by the name of Francis Schlatter. Francis was an interesting character who walked across the western United States in the late 1800's, and many people believed that he had to power to heal.

  1. I've always thought the late 1800's through he turn of the century must have been a fascinating time in the West, with cities like Denver growing but the rural territory still wild.

  2. Awesome picture. Love the horses, carts and people. Even the trees look so "turn of the century". Bygone era, for sure.
