Each day we bring you one stunning little glimpse of history in the form of a historical photograph. Enjoy!
Typical, the dog is fascinated while the cat is annoyed.
Boy, that puppy sure looks like he is starving. You can see the ribs and the tail is tucked in, The cat on the other hand is pure white and has not gotten any dirt on it yet. This is typical of folks the get a dog then stake it outside or have it in a poor sheltered and fenced pin. My question is why have a dog if will be treated in this manner. Our dogs were always a part of the family and lived in the house and had the run of it except for Momma's living room. They were all mutts also. I miss them all.
I agree with you. We have neighbors who have two large dogs - Golden Retrievers, I think - who are in a pen so small one has to stand on top of the doghouse. What's the point to owning a dog and doing that to it? They've been report to the SPCA several times, and are absolutely mystified by the concern. Beats me.
The pup could be a stray, the cat could belong to a neighbor, there's no way to know just by looking at the image. Good grief.
Uh oh, looks like ice may have taken out the PJM Ranch's internet again.
