Plowing



Today's picture is from King and Anderson Plantation near Clarksdale Mississippi. This child is getting ready to do some plowing behind a team of horses. The picture was taken in 1940.

  1. Incredibly uncomfortable 'seat' on that plow. I bet he was sore for weeks after that.

  2. Perhaps the child was just 'hitchhiking' since there's a set of handles behind the child and above the plow blade? Maybe this little one was just enjoying a moment with his father or 'master'. Previous photo, none-the-less.
