Wildcatters

Welcome to Wildcatter Week here at OPOD. We will be looking at old pictures of the oil boom in Texas. The Oil Boom is really a great story, and it continues to this day. The picture above is from one of the early really big oil fields, in Kilgore Texas. The picture was taken in 1939.

  2. But they should have been hard hats, which may not have been invented yet.

    1. I'm Roger, I just use DADD as my sign in.
And I really don't like publishing rules, but I understand PJM problem and accept doing it. So I only do it when it is important.

  5. What about the Big Foot field? My dad was born in Big Foot, but well before the oil field was discovered!

And any natural gas stuff is welcome. My cousin was a gas engineer in the fields.
