Each day we bring you one stunning little glimpse of history in the form of a historical photograph. Enjoy!
About this site:
I have been an avid collector of old photographs and documents for over 30 years. The photographs on this site are derived from material I have collected over the years. Some came from old family albums, some from material I bought at flea markets over the years, and some from government archives of public domain images, including the US Library of Congress, and the National Archives. We appreciate you visiting this blog, and hope you find it interesting.

I don't know if I would carry a hatchet they way he does, not very safe. But then without a scabbord how would you carry it that would be safe?
ReplyDeleteWith his nice white beard, he would make a great Santa, but he looks a little grumpy.
Like to view that pistol he has in the holster. I don't see a shovel but that looks like a percussion rifle in his left hand. Like to hear tales of his past, hunting or desperado wise.

The placement of the dagger is hilarious. I must have a bawdy mind this morning.
ReplyDeleteI looked at the photo and the first thing that came to mind was......."so, you want to marry my daughter"?
