Each day we bring you one stunning little glimpse of history in the form of a historical photograph. Enjoy!
About this site:
I have been an avid collector of old photographs and documents for over 30 years. The photographs on this site are derived from material I have collected over the years. Some came from old family albums, some from material I bought at flea markets over the years, and some from government archives of public domain images, including the US Library of Congress, and the National Archives. We appreciate you visiting this blog, and hope you find it interesting.

When I was a kid, during harvest time. our lunch consisted of a sanwich and a bottle of coke thrown up to us on the combine, and we ate and drank on to go. We didn't even stop the combine to unload, we did it on the go. HURRY, HURRY, HURRY, had to beat that storm that may come.
ReplyDeleteIs that a harmonica in the boy left hand?
ReplyDeleteHe looks like he is wearing his Dad's old boots
At first I thought it was a box of matches, but I think your right, it looks more like a harmonica.
DeleteIt looks as if he's wearing Dad's hat, too.
DeleteLooks like a harmonica to me too.
ReplyDeleteI noticed the mans haircut, bowl style. I always thought that was a funny looking style haircut and then wouldn't you know it, the 90's came around and the big style for my 2 boys and most of the kids was the "skaters" cut. It's identical to this mans haircut, the bowl cut. I used to say to my boys, "Lets save some money, instead of paying for a hair cut I can give you the same exact bowl cut at home." They didn't want to have anything to do with that! Enjoy the weekend folks.
