Hat Week
As promised, this is going to be Women's Hat Week here at OPOD. We start with this magnificent specimen of a hat which looks like a fish. The woman also has what looks like a fish shaped handbag to match the hat. I do not claim to be a fashion aficionado, but I will say this just is not working for me. I just can not see someone picking this particular outfit out at the store.

Man, you talk about UGLY.
ReplyDeleteUnless she sold fish on the street corner, that is about the worst hat I have ever seen. But I'll bet you found something worse to excite me with.
And her husband thought he had found the perfect anniversary gift...
ReplyDeleteI think this is photoshopped! Not real hat.
ReplyDeletePapy from Belgium
That would be a nice fishing or boating hat.
ReplyDeleteI too thought it was Photoshopped.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I don't think that hat would've been flying off the shelves on Black Friday!
ReplyDeleteReal or photoshopped, it's just weird...
ReplyDeleteI love this photo. I like to think she has a great sense of humor.
ReplyDeleteI'm dying to make a comment about that photo, but I'd better not. Nope, I'll be good.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think this might be made of? Fabric, tanned fish hide--LOL?
ReplyDeleteLooks to be an interesting series. Not really into fish hats though, maybe something else.
ReplyDeleteMT C
Perhaps she had shoes to match.
ReplyDeleteProbably something the kids made at school, and, well, ya know, ya gotta wear it cause they made it, and then they wanted a picture (for blackmail, probably), and a hundred years later, well, here we are. I am glad I never had to diagram a sentence like that is school.
ReplyDeleteWell. That is.....intriguing to say the least.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone else notice her hands? Are we sure this is even a woman? "She" has huge hands!!!
ReplyDeleteDo you sometimes wonder if designers in those days (I"m sure they were all men) designed the most outragous hats they could come up with just to prove that women would put anything on their heads just to show that they were "in style"
Love it!
