Today's picture shows an Indian Woman gathering wood. The woman is of the Asparoke people, and the picture was taken in 1908. The picture is a scene from Montana.

I've read just briefly of Edward Curtis and his photography in this time frame. Does anyone know if there is a biography or autobiography describing his experiences taking some of these photos? I bet he, and the other photographers, had a story or two to tell!
