Twins
Welcome to Twins Week here at OPOD. We kick things off with this picture showing a set of twins. No, not the babies . . . the mothers are twins. The twin mothers had their babies on the same day. Interestingly, this was the second time they gave birth at the same time. The picture is from 1937.

We have no twins, but two of my boys were born on the same day ten years apart.
ReplyDeleteAntique photos of twins are oone of the things I collect, going all the way back to daguerreotypes. There's something weird about identical twins. You might enjoy a blog post I wrote called "Diane Arbus and Spooky Twins" with some examples from my collection.

Holy Smokes! Twins giving birth on the same day once is special - doing it twice...what kind of planning did that take??
