Beach Umbrella



Today's picture was taken in 1923, and is shows a child on the beach with an umbrella. She looks to be holding a doll, and maybe a paper fan.

  2. Great picture! Behind the little girl is a typical sea wall that you see in NH. Maybe this is Hampton Beach, NH. The advertisement she is holding says BF Keith on it. Thats a big name in these parts. The BF Keith Memorial Theater,(Boston) opened in 1928. Now it's the Boston Oprea House, magnificent building. "Keith" is the "K" in RKO pictures.

  6. Love umbrella week! Glad to hear the Lovely Ms. EAM is doing better. I do wonder though why, as a nurse, she didn’t get immunizations before going to Africa? I have traveled to Africa for business for the past 46 years and thanks to immunizations I’ve never picked up any disease. The shots are not expensive and you can go to any County Health Office for them or through your doctor.

  7. so glad your daughter is better. it must be so hard to be sick and far from home. i pray she improves quickly now.
    here is a question i have...i am getting pop up ads on your site now for "latin dating" w/pix of girls that are far too young in far too little. is that something you can prohibit? or must i use a strong adblocker? i just thought you would want to know, as it's not the kind of thing you'd want on your site. :(

  8. That's not a paper she's holding. It's a paper fan. Given the printing, probably one that was given to patrons at a summer theater performance.
