Nairobi, Kenya
Our Journey has taken us to Nairobi, Kenya. Now we must hire a driver for the 10 hour drive to Kitale, Kenya. The roads are unimproved, so I understand it is quiet an adventure to make the drive. We had a choice to hire a small plane, or a driver. Neither sounded too safe. So, hopefully you will be hearing from us soon in Eldoret, Kitale, and then finally Mattaw.

OH, OH, go with the plane. Then you get a second chance to make some silly remark about Mrs. PJM.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to your driver that was suppose to meet you or is that still further down the road?
Hot Damn man! You guys are really pulling a Phineas Fogg! Around the world in how many? Later.
ReplyDeleteI almost forgot21 above and no snow yet
ReplyDeleteAccording to the paper we had received over 12 inches by this time last year.
Hey a 5 leter verification.
Take the plane. The pilot will do his best to insure a safe flight because it he will be with you no matter what happens. Ask to look at the log books before you go. No entries then go to another pilot. A lot of entries, go to another pilot. Look at he airframe total time and time since the last inspection.
ReplyDeleteI would go by car, probably safer, but lots slower. You can also sightsee, meet the locals and take lots of photos. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteThe car would be nice, but the extra timne spent on the road, would be lost time you could have spent with Elizabeth.
ReplyDeleteThat is true, DADD.
ReplyDeleteWell, no matter how you get there from Nairobi, it is gonna be an adventure. Take lots of pictures for us, PJM.
ReplyDeleteMy lucky streak has ended, DADD. 8 letters this time, if I get it right.
this must be an Old Picture of the Day. Look at the Model A Fords! (or cars of that era . . . hey, I'm not that old!) But still! hoping & waiting to hear a current post from you. Travel Safe!
ReplyDeleteHow many hours are you ahead of us. I think probably 8 or 10. Car or plane makes no difference I bet this adventure will just get better as you go. lam :)
ReplyDeleteI've done some digging and that street was called Saddler Street, and it was taken sometime in the 1930's photo published in 1936.
