Each day we bring you one stunning little glimpse of history in the form of a historical photograph. Enjoy!
About this site:
I have been an avid collector of old photographs and documents for over 30 years. The photographs on this site are derived from material I have collected over the years. Some came from old family albums, some from material I bought at flea markets over the years, and some from government archives of public domain images, including the US Library of Congress, and the National Archives. We appreciate you visiting this blog, and hope you find it interesting.

ReplyDeleteI'd hate to have a low comment volume alert again.
No comment is needed, Joe in NC - just look at the nose on John "Kid" McManus! Clearly he's a criminal if ever there was one.
ReplyDeleteOr a politician.
Or a lawyer.
;)
I think we are dying to get a greenhouse report.
ReplyDeleteTake away the hat, and dress him up in a little more modern clothes, and you have my high school principal up there.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder he and I didn't always see eye to eye.
Rather smug expression I would think? The bandit I was hoping to see was the guy who would rob someone or thing and then walk overnight 50 miles or more to stymie the chance of apprehension!I remember reading an article about him which covered a significant period of his life. He was also known for the extreme amount of effort he put into not harming his "Prey"!About the same time period if I remember correctly? Thank you.
