Each day we bring you one stunning little glimpse of history in the form of a historical photograph. Enjoy!
About this site:
I have been an avid collector of old photographs and documents for over 30 years. The photographs on this site are derived from material I have collected over the years. Some came from old family albums, some from material I bought at flea markets over the years, and some from government archives of public domain images, including the US Library of Congress, and the National Archives. We appreciate you visiting this blog, and hope you find it interesting.

ReplyDeleteVery good Nate, Was it that easy?
ReplyDeletePJM
Yep, it was pretty easy. So, were you well celebrated yesterday?
ReplyDeleteYes, it was a wonderful birthday.
ReplyDeleteHowever, any of you that have a birthday next to a holiday (in my case, Father's Day) there is a tendency to get the "combined" gifts.
PJM
Does that mean that you are still waiting for the combined gift or did you get your Father's Day gift early?
ReplyDeleteAnd by combined gift, do you mean you got a Breitling Blackbird watch AND your own single engine airplane?
ReplyDeleteNate,
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I made it through yet another Birthday without the manifestation of the Breitling Blackbird.
By combined gift, I mean you get the birthday gift, and they say, "here is your birthday and Father's day gift".
So, I fear my gifts were received yesterday, and I will see no additional gifts tomorrow.
Perhaps next year I will get the Blackbird.
PJM
Good job ENM
ReplyDeleteYes it was easy.
I know what you mean by combined gifts. My birthday is on the 30th, And I have already received my combined gift of a new Garmin.
After over more than a 4000 mile trip, my wife decided I needed a new one. The old one (about 8 or 9 years old) even though I updated it, was have to "recalculate" to often.
It seems that if a highway is only a year or so old they have problems.
PJM
ReplyDeleteThose were almost the exact words my wife used when she gave me my gift. She did added happy birthday with it. And I will get to do the grilling on both days
I was born on Christmas day. Enough said.
ReplyDeleteAzd bornd an razd on Sadie Hawkins day, but Ive yet tgit me mah man!
ReplyDeletePJM,
ReplyDeleteHaving worked at both Sagamore Hill and the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site in Buffalo, I recognized Edith Kermit Carow Roosevelt like I would a picture of my own mother.
I could beat the pants of Nate any day. My problem is, being in Pennsylvania, I'm up before you, but sometime while I'm drinking my coffee on Saturday, you post, and Nate beats me to it.
What time to do you usually put the picture up, Texas time?
PS - Happy Birthday! June's a good month to be born in. I should know.
Darn it! One I instantly knew and I woke up too late to revel in the glory!
