Each day we bring you one stunning little glimpse of history in the form of a historical photograph. Enjoy!
I know, but I promised not to answer for 1 hour
Is the middle guy Babe Ruth?
I also know but my wife says I must clean the garage first.
Their ints. are B. R. & T. C. & G. S.
Thanks for such an easy one today PJM. No victory breakfast for you tomorrow. You don't know how hard it is to have to wait out my promised hour of silence
The B.R. and T.C. are easy. But the only G.S. my brain can think of wouldn't have been born yet, unless it was his father or grandfather. (the one I am thinking of is a III)
PJM... feeling guilty about your last two Mystery Person wins? Great photo. I enjoy the vintage baseball movies as well.John
Good morning John.I actually think if some of our better players had had their "a" game on the last few weeks they would have won. The people I posted the last two weeks were not as hard as many past contests.PJM
Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, George Sisler. The year was 1924.
Good job John
And the other two are George Sisler and Ty Cobb!
John,Indeed! You are the winner. And, welcome to Old Time Baseball Week.PJM
I think it's Sir Tom Eagerly and his brothers taken just before there ill-fated trip up the Zambesi. Bazza’s Blog ‘To Discover Ice’
I recognized Babe Ruth instantly. It would have taken me a few minutes longer without RTDs initials. But not many. I usually don't wake up early enough to compete.
And I still say it is Harry Hopkins.
RTD: Nice of you to hold back & let John be a winner. Congrats to you both.
Ah, back to powdered eggs, skim milk and fried spam for breakfast for you, PJM
I got one right away. The other I needed the initials before I knew the answer. I'm stumped on the third. I can hardly wait to find out the answer.
Should have read all the comments. I never would have been able to guess the third person.
The Babe I got right away..the other two were harder. Somehow that photo just screams baseball..guess I watched too many games as a kid:)
