Each day we bring you one stunning little glimpse of history in the form of a historical photograph. Enjoy!
About this site:
I have been an avid collector of old photographs and documents for over 30 years. The photographs on this site are derived from material I have collected over the years. Some came from old family albums, some from material I bought at flea markets over the years, and some from government archives of public domain images, including the US Library of Congress, and the National Archives. We appreciate you visiting this blog, and hope you find it interesting.

Cool picture! Dogs are win-win situation every time. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this picture, and what a well trained dog! I'm sure the doggy had to stand still for a little bit to get his picture taken, taking into account the slower shutter speeds in the early 1900's. I'm totally enjoying work dog week.
ReplyDeleteMe also, to bad this week isn't about 8 days longer.
ReplyDeleteGood job PJM!!
That's one tough dog. Besides the coffee pot, I see an axe handle & a skillet - has to be cast iron.
ReplyDeleteThat dog looks like a Newfoundland. They're big dogs that can handle the load and are good swimmers.
ReplyDeleteJohn
Yeah wow that is a cast-iron skillet. And an ax?
ReplyDeleteThis dog is beast.
They may be dirty dogs, but they are honest and hard-working. :)
ReplyDeleteDogs are good people.

Great pictures. Are we allowed to use any of these, if we give credit to you?
ReplyDeleteLesson learned. Never try to swim in a lake when there is a Newfoundland or a Great Dane around. They simply won't allow it. You will be herded back to shore in short order.
ReplyDeleteGreat dogs!
Great Picture! this one is alittle unique to the others.
