Each day we bring you one stunning little glimpse of history in the form of a historical photograph. Enjoy!
About this site:
I have been an avid collector of old photographs and documents for over 30 years. The photographs on this site are derived from material I have collected over the years. Some came from old family albums, some from material I bought at flea markets over the years, and some from government archives of public domain images, including the US Library of Congress, and the National Archives. We appreciate you visiting this blog, and hope you find it interesting.

WOW!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a load for just 6 dogs, or should I say 6 super dogs
By the way, congratulations on going over the 2000 registered followers.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how many unregistered followers you also have.
It appears that the good doctor is not well prepared for the trip. He has a suit coat and light hat. If something happened, he would be the first to freeze. Roger is right, those are some hugh dogs. I bet they are expensive to keep fed.
ReplyDeleteWe have neighbors here in Pennsylvania who own 4 Huskies; whenever we have a huge snowstorm they hitch them up and take a ride around the neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteThe dogs love it!
Definitely freight dogs. My daughter has over 30 sled dogs (racing dogs). And by the way, I always get corrrected if I say something like "dog sled team," or "dog sled race". There is not a team of sleds, and the sleds don't race. It's "sled dog team", or "sled dog race". Mushers are SO picky!
ReplyDeleteIs this the first time that the theme of the week was changed in mid-term? 'Dirty dogs' became 'Working dogs'. I'm pleased you stuck to dogs. Enjoyed it much.
ReplyDeleteI wonder which dogs are the happiest, the ones that pull or carry or the ones that perform on stage?
