Each day we bring you one stunning little glimpse of history in the form of a historical photograph. Enjoy!
About this site:
I have been an avid collector of old photographs and documents for over 30 years. The photographs on this site are derived from material I have collected over the years. Some came from old family albums, some from material I bought at flea markets over the years, and some from government archives of public domain images, including the US Library of Congress, and the National Archives. We appreciate you visiting this blog, and hope you find it interesting.

What an eloquent looking lady, but sorry no guess from me today.
ReplyDeleteJust make sure we have a nice Domestic update tomorrow, please.
Nice, no idea. She looks like Lady Jane Grey a little bit haha...
ReplyDeleteIt is not Lady Jane Grey.
ReplyDeleteHmmm . . . not a lot of activity this morning. Perhaps it will be two in a row for PJM.
This is Ida McKinley.
ReplyDeleteWe have a winner!
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed First Lady Ida McKinley.
PJM
Good job Evil Nat Maas.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea this morning
Thanks, Roger. For those of you into curious trivia, one interesting thing about Mrs. McKinley was that she hated the color yellow and had it removed from all decoration in the White House and even went so far as to have any yellow flowers removed from the White House grounds.
ReplyDeleteYay Nate! I had no idea who this lady was. Great dress on her.
ReplyDeleteGood job, Nate!
ReplyDeleteA good day to you all.
Well, the Evil Nate Maas has stolen your victory breakfast away again. Only hardtack and Chicory coffee for you tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteENM strikes again!
ReplyDeleteI conclude Mrs McKinley wasn't too keen on butter or egg yolks, either.
Well that was a fst win! Congrats Nate!
