Each day we bring you one stunning little glimpse of history in the form of a historical photograph. Enjoy!
About this site:
I have been an avid collector of old photographs and documents for over 30 years. The photographs on this site are derived from material I have collected over the years. Some came from old family albums, some from material I bought at flea markets over the years, and some from government archives of public domain images, including the US Library of Congress, and the National Archives. We appreciate you visiting this blog, and hope you find it interesting.

Charles Dawes, Vice Pres. under Calvin Coolidge.
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
ReplyDeletePope George. Excellent! Was this that easy? I thought this was a rather obscure figure.

Thanks! I enjoy studying the Presidents of the U.S. so Charles Dawes image has been familiar to me for years.
ReplyDeleteDawes was also the composer of a hit song, "It's All In the Game" which was remade in the 1950's and became a top 10 hit in the early rock and roll era.
Looks like the guy doesn't have much to do.
ReplyDeleteI knew what he was before I knew who he was. Read 'Mad men and Genuises' a book about the American VPs.
