Each day we bring you one stunning little glimpse of history in the form of a historical photograph. Enjoy!
About this site:
I have been an avid collector of old photographs and documents for over 30 years. The photographs on this site are derived from material I have collected over the years. Some came from old family albums, some from material I bought at flea markets over the years, and some from government archives of public domain images, including the US Library of Congress, and the National Archives. We appreciate you visiting this blog, and hope you find it interesting.

ReplyDeleteVery nice, we have a winner.
ReplyDeleteI am surprised, I did not think this would be so quick.
Yes, it is John Sullivan.

Always sad and a relief when it's guessed before I wake up. Good job Bruce!
ReplyDeleteIf you can't get enough of the guessing, head over to natemaas.com
Well since he is probably the most famous boxer from this era, that was a great guess. I'm amazed at how 'ripped' he looks in the photo given this was BS - Before Steroids!
ReplyDeleteWasn't he the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan?
