Each day we bring you one stunning little glimpse of history in the form of a historical photograph. Enjoy!
About this site:
I have been an avid collector of old photographs and documents for over 30 years. The photographs on this site are derived from material I have collected over the years. Some came from old family albums, some from material I bought at flea markets over the years, and some from government archives of public domain images, including the US Library of Congress, and the National Archives. We appreciate you visiting this blog, and hope you find it interesting.

That looks like a heart-shaped porthole. That ought to be a good clue for someone with some expertise in boats and such to figure out where they are. Also, there appears to be the reflection of another heart-shape in the heart-shaped porthole. Interesting!
ReplyDeleteFascinating to glimpse what was high style at the time.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo of them, I hadn't seen that one before. Talk about glamor! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteA golden couple from a golden age!!! I wish I had a time machine.
ReplyDeleteI would guess this was taken on their first trip to Europe together in 1920. Mary would have been 28 at the time, and Doug 37.
