Today's picture was taken in 1905. It shows postmen unloading mail at Union Station in Chicago. The mail wagons continued to be used for some time, even after cars were available.

Don't you enjoy receiving a hand written letter? I do. But you just can't beat the convenience of email.
ReplyDelete@maybelline: i truly LOVE handwritten letters but it's been ages since i wrote one... what i noticed is that i'm putting much more thought into letters because there's no 'delete' option ;)

Think the guys running the big wagons got paid more than the guys running the little wagons?
