Mystery Girl
Good Saturday Morning to you. I have grown weary of losing this contest every week, so this morning the gloves come off, and I present a contest I will surely win. I must say that you all do not have a chance this morning. Let the Games Begin!

Margaret Truman Daniel, President Harry Truman's only daughter
ReplyDeleteSteve!
ReplyDeleteHow did you do that? I am shocked anyone got this one.
PJM
Drat, I recognized her right away! One day I'll win this thing.
ReplyDeleteSteve, awesome!
ReplyDeleteAnd good morning to all.
It just looked like the White Horse. Maybe isn't. But googled "President's daughter singer." Her name came up. Truman seemed the right time frame. Entered a guess. Sorry PJM. I'm am stunned. I usually just watch and marvel at the game.
ReplyDeleteGreat Job Steve!
ReplyDeleteGood job, Steve!
ReplyDeletePJM, I've noticed a slight negative trend in your comments of late with the embargo threats and the talk of blog weariness. Is everything alright or is this just teacher fatigue heading into the final stretch of the school year?
ReplyDeleteVery fast. Well done Steve.
ReplyDeleteNate,
ReplyDeleteActually, the comments are in jest.
PJM
Ah, maybe you have not been your old self for so long, I've just forgotten the real PJM. Nice to have you back.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to the contest each Saturday morning. So fun to see you, PJM, pull out all the stops and come up with images and personalities that are more and more obscure.
ReplyDeleteThanks, PJM. And thanks to all the members of this community.
as usal, i didn't have a clue ;) pretty picture, i really really love the dress :)
ReplyDeletegreetings from germany,
anne
Margaret Truman was invited to sing on the radio, and the critical reception was... rather harsh. It was one of those things that convinced Harry Truman that he did not like his neighbors in Washington DC all that much.
ReplyDeleteLet's not forget Harry Truman's letter to music critic Paul Hume for his less than kind critique of Miss Truman's singing.
ReplyDeleteMr Hume:
I've just read your lousy review of Margaret's concert. I've come to the conclusion that you are an "eight ulcer man on four ulcer pay."
It seems to me that you are a frustrated old man who wishes he could have been successful. When you write such poppy-cock as was in the back section of the paper you work for it shows conclusively that you're off the beam and at least four of your ulcers are at work.
Some day I hope to meet you. When that happens you'll need a new nose, a lot of beefsteak for black eyes, and perhaps a supporter below!
Pegler, a gutter snipe, is a gentleman alongside you. I hope you'll accept that statement as a worse insult than a reflection on your ancestry.
H.S.T.
