Each day we bring you one stunning little glimpse of history in the form of a historical photograph. Enjoy!
About this site:
I have been an avid collector of old photographs and documents for over 30 years. The photographs on this site are derived from material I have collected over the years. Some came from old family albums, some from material I bought at flea markets over the years, and some from government archives of public domain images, including the US Library of Congress, and the National Archives. We appreciate you visiting this blog, and hope you find it interesting.

OK, let's get this guess out of the way: is it Winston Churchill?

Double Ha!

Could it be Benito Mussolini as a child? He had to get his grandiose ideas from somewhere!

My last guess: George S. Patton?

Is it Wilhelm II, German Emperor?
ReplyDeleteshutterbug,
ReplyDeleteIt is not Wilhelm II.
Ah, perhaps I should start considering the potential of a Victory Breakfast in the morning.

Is this Prince Nicholas of Romania?
ReplyDeleteJackie Coogan?
ReplyDeleteDefeated by the Evil Nate Maas once again. Yes, it is Prince Nicholas of Romania.

What about my earlier guess of George S. Patton? Didn't see a yea or nay on that guess.
ReplyDeleteDave,
ReplyDeleteSorry I missed your entry earlier. No, it is not Patton, Nate got it with Prince Nicholas.

Good job, Nate!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dave.
ReplyDeleteWell done Nate. I was just about to
ReplyDeletesuggest Michael of Romania.
I was using the printers name in the corner of the photo.
Dang! I was on the right track, but wrong lineage of Queen Victoria. Nicholas and Karl Wilhelm do look like they are related (second cousins or something). Way to go Nate!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ray. That's the way I did it - narrowed it down to Romania and then looked at a few older photos of royalty and such.
ReplyDeleteGreat Job Nate-
ReplyDeleteThat looks to be a tough one, could have been a child actor, etc.
Impressive!
Nate, you are amazing.
