Round III
OK, now I am really mad, so expect no mercy this time. You must name ALL THREE men. I will not give any hints . . . all three names have to be right. I refuse to allow pakurilecz to keep making a mockery of me. Let Round III Begin!

It's Lord Balfour, Lord Allenby and Sir Herbert Samuel on the occasion of Lord Balfour's visit to Hebrew University (1925).
ReplyDeleteAnon,
ReplyDeleteYep, you got it.
This was a hard one. Care to share how you did it?
I had thought about asking where the picture was taken, but thought that would be too hard.
PJM
Congrats to Anon and to Pakurilecz. Yes, we want to know how you both did it. Pakurilecz has to come in from chores & let us know.
ReplyDeleteUnbelieveable! I have no clue how you guys can get this -- and so quickly!! Impressive.
ReplyDeleteI recognized Lord Balfour, but could not think were I had seen him. I had been looking at old pictures of Israel under the British mandate some months ago and thought it was close enough to Egypt to try. I googled around and found a picture that matched to Lord Balfour and he was standing in front of the same steps in the picture. It was then just a matter of searching for pictures of Lord Balfour and Hebrew university.
ReplyDeleteshort break from yardwork
ReplyDeleteI use this search service
http://www.tineye.com/
doesn't always come up with matches but in the case of Rounds I and II it worked.
I use the plug-in
I also use google to verify my results or hunches
From left to right: Mr. Kodak, Walt Disney, Mr. DuPont.
ReplyDeleteI did receive the poster last week and it was exactly what I wanted. Got a nice note from one of the students (sorry I don't recall the name) that was very professional in layout and message,
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work, PJM
