Each day we bring you one stunning little glimpse of history in the form of a historical photograph. Enjoy!
About this site:
I have been an avid collector of old photographs and documents for over 30 years. The photographs on this site are derived from material I have collected over the years. Some came from old family albums, some from material I bought at flea markets over the years, and some from government archives of public domain images, including the US Library of Congress, and the National Archives. We appreciate you visiting this blog, and hope you find it interesting.

I will guess Douglas Macarthur
ReplyDeleteQuentin Roosevelt
ReplyDeleteWow, Charlie B. Won.
ReplyDeleteI was not expecting a winner in such short order.
I thought this one would be harder.

Good job Charlie B!
ReplyDeleteShort game, well done Charlie B.
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Charlie B!
ReplyDeleteCharlie: Nice going. Tell us a story about how you figured it out.
ReplyDeleteI follow you every day, and couldn't believe no one had got it yet. At first I thought Pershing but I figured that was too obvious. I looked at some pictures of young Macarthur and they looked like him.
ReplyDeleteI would never have guessed that. He looks a lot like Buster Keaton.
ReplyDeleteSeems fitting that MacArthur would have styled himself in a cape.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea who he is but I think I'm in Love! I love your blog btw - sorry not to have commented before but I follow in mail :)
ReplyDeleteI love the old photos but being British I have no idea who half the contest one's are - so slip in some sneaky Brits and see if I can win! Thanks. Olivia
I think my teenage daughters have a pair of those boots. In black.
