Instead of a portrait this picture reminds me of a Paparazzi shot - like it belongs in a 1920's US magazine or something.
Thanks. The "ffrage" on the sign was a giveaway for the subject matter, and that eventually led to this at the Library of Congress web site.You don't see too many photos of someone moving from that era. Must have been a very bright day to get a short enough exposure.
