Good Sunday Morning to you all. Hope you all are enjoying a little time off from work, and recovering from the Christmas festivities. Now, we are going to try something a little different this morning. Our goal is to see if you can really judge something about a person by the way they look. They say that you can not judge a book by its cover, but are they really right? So, this morning I present pictures of four angels of mercy. Well, actually, three are angels of mercy, and one is a scoundrel. The goal is to see if you can pick the scoundrel out by just looking at them. I ask that you NOT research the pictures to try and figure out who they are. This is NOT a mystery person contest. This is just to see if people have an intuitive ability to tell a person's character just by looking at them. I invite you to post comments on your thoughts, but ask that you NOT identify the people, just describe your "Gut" reaction to them. Post your thoughts in the comments, and then vote in the poll.
The Picture above is Angel of Mercy #2.
The Picture above is Angel of Mercy #3.So, study the people in the pictures and then let us know who you think the Scoundrel is. Please note that I did not try and make this a trick, as in, the one that looks least like a scoundrel is a scoundrel, or vice versa. I simply picked four different people, and I know one is a scoundrel.

I pick Angel of Mercy No. 3. I think she is trying too hard to look innocent. (Kinda the same expression as my ex-husband!)
ReplyDeleteCall me what you will, but the nun gets my vote.
ReplyDelete#4 looks like a girly man as in "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing".
ReplyDeleteWell... I'll go with #2, she looks a little mischievous... don't know if that is synonymous with scoundrel, but I'll stick with my answer.
ReplyDeleteI say #3, but that's just a wild guess.
ReplyDeleteWhile #4 looks to be from the cast of Nuns on the Run, I get a creepy vibe from #3.
ReplyDeleteI have to go with No.4. That may be a bit too obvious, but that's my gut. Although, all but no.2 creep me out.
ReplyDelete#4 looks like a man, in disguise as a nun. That wouldn't be angelic.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, #3 looks like she's up to no good. I voted for #4 though.
ReplyDeleteI'd vote for Angel of Mercy #3
ReplyDeletethere's something in her look that i don't like, kinda forced.
I have to go with #2. Maybe she thinks the dog will make her man's best friend, but she just seems devious.

ReplyDeleteIn our 'safety awareness' communications at work we stress that their is no such thing as an 'honest face'. This is particularly important in a facility where babies and children could be abducted. And, yes, important safeguards are in place.
ReplyDeleteIf I were to guess based on appearance then #1 is my choice. This is based on facial expression, nothing else. She seems too stern, lacking emotion. No doubt I am absolutely mistaken.
First impression was that the baddie was AOM#1 because the small picture on the blog seemed to show her glaring at the other woman and demanding a donation. Then I blew up the individual pictures to get a closer look at the eyes and saw that my first impression was totally wrong, AOM#1 appears to be a weary, caring soul having a sandwich and a cup of tea. AOM#2's eyes look like an eager youth out to do good. AOM#3 at first looked a bit devious or pranksterish, but that faded. AOM#4 gets my vote because the eyes look like the eyes of a "true believer" who would brook no tolerance with such things as a differing opinion.
ReplyDeleteWhich means that the actual villain is the one who's eyes you can't see well, and why AOM#1 looks so weary. It's the woman on the left.
I will wait a couple of days before revealing the answer. I want to give everyone a chance to vote.

#3. There's something about her that makes me uneasy, but I can't quite put my finger on it.
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for number 4...
ReplyDeleteOf course you can rationalize any of them being the one....
I choose #4...and could be a man.
ReplyDeleteI agreed with your first commenter, Rebecca2. She looks just like an uncle of mine that I so never trusted.
ReplyDeleteI chose #3. She looks like Sylvester Stallone. I don't like him as an "actor" so I'm sure this influenced my choice.
ReplyDelete#4 is definitely a man, but not necessarily a scoundrel.
ReplyDelete#4 has my vote. Her eyes have a steely glint that I just don't trust.
ReplyDelete#4 was my first reaction. As another commenter said, the nun looks like a man.
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought No. 1 for sure, but when I looked closely, she does look weary and the sandwich and cup, while surrounded by people make her seem busier still. No. 2 looks like a wartime girlfriend for Capt. Walsh. No. 3 looks like she's a few points shy in the IQ department. No. 4 looks like she's (or he's) up to no good, so I have to go with No. 4.
ReplyDeletei vote for #1, something in her expression speaks to me...
ReplyDeleteI voted for number three simply because looks can and usually are deceiving.
ReplyDeleteDan
yes, you have to go with the eyes.. so looking closely I think #4 has my vote b/c of her eyes.
ReplyDelete#4 gives me the creeps; but I cannot judge these books by their covers.
ReplyDeleteNumber two is Little Red Riding-hood with the wolf, not dog.
ReplyDeleteLook at her shoes. Nurse shoes?
Number 2---no doubt about it.
ReplyDeleteAs a nurse I hate to see that scary looking female on #1! But I think its # 4 - a man in sheep's clothing!
ReplyDeleteI agree that #4 looks like a man. That can't be good.
ReplyDeleteI voted number 3 but was leaning to number 4 because it does look like a man..
ReplyDeleteI vote for number one. She appears to have drawn people in and even seems to have a side kick to boot.
ReplyDeleteI think it's #1 because that is what I think! No science here.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely #4; the cross-dresser!
ReplyDelete#4 - I don't get a good feeling about "her?"
ReplyDeleteHow is "angel of mercy" being defined here? In the crime world, an angel of mercy is a misnomer, heh.
ReplyDeleteDid I miss the answer to this one?
ReplyDeletePJM On Dec. 27 you wrote you'd wait a few days before revealing the I.D. It's now January 9th!
ReplyDeleteMy vote goes to No. 4
PLEASE OH PLEASE reveal the scoundrel!!
