Each day we bring you one stunning little glimpse of history in the form of a historical photograph. Enjoy!
About this site:
I have been an avid collector of old photographs and documents for over 30 years. The photographs on this site are derived from material I have collected over the years. Some came from old family albums, some from material I bought at flea markets over the years, and some from government archives of public domain images, including the US Library of Congress, and the National Archives. We appreciate you visiting this blog, and hope you find it interesting.

Andrew Johnson
ReplyDeleteDARN!
ReplyDeleteRoss, you are correct.
The game was over too quickly. I thought this one would fool you all.
Give me five minutes, and I will start another round.

Very good, Ross. PJM has to go back to work and find us another one this morning.
ReplyDeleteGood job, Ross from Maine. PJM, nice color job. Was this done by your students?
ReplyDeleteNate,
ReplyDeleteYes, students have been playing around with sepia toning, but giving a little extra to the flesh areas. I like what they are doing.

Gah! Andrew Johnson. The most singularly bad thing about Lincoln's Presidency. I'll never understand the choice, no matter all things considered.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing Johnson did right was showing no mercy by hanging Mary Surratt. The rest speaks for itself.
The only US President to have never spent a single day in a classroom. He had no formal education whatsoever.
ReplyDeleteHe looks alot like Tommy Lee Jones
