Each day we bring you one stunning little glimpse of history in the form of a historical photograph. Enjoy!
About this site:
I have been an avid collector of old photographs and documents for over 30 years. The photographs on this site are derived from material I have collected over the years. Some came from old family albums, some from material I bought at flea markets over the years, and some from government archives of public domain images, including the US Library of Congress, and the National Archives. We appreciate you visiting this blog, and hope you find it interesting.

Wow, they must have had strong backs!!!
ReplyDeleteWe got our daughter a steamer trunk like that to take to college!!
Makes me even more thankful for my desk job!
ReplyDeleteThey look like they might be Eskimos.
ReplyDeleteYears of experience have proven that carrying those trunks is best done as shown with the bulk of the load distributed to the hips so when they walk slightly stooped, they can carry tremendous loads.
ReplyDeleteWow, is that a long enough sentence or not!
Things go better with coke.

ReplyDeleteMy hat's off to you!!!!
The short guy in the hat in the middle (without anything on his back) looks Asian to me.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Anonymous you are so funny! I was taking a bite of my supper while reading your comment and almost choked with laughter! Thanks, I needed that!
ReplyDeleteThey are not wearing any foot-wear.
ReplyDeletethey are not Eskimo nor are they Asian with lack of shoes, hair on their feet and sizing them to the boxes they might be Hobbits.
ReplyDeleteI guess J.R.R. Tolkien was right when he said they do exist. Just a thought for any LotR fans out there, I'm sorry for the rest of you.
Ha!
