Environmentally Friendly Car

This is an old picture of a small car from the 1920's. Now, I got a lot of trouble a few weeks ago for being too negative. Then I started being Mr. Positive, and then everyone started saying that I was too positive. Also, then people got mad about my sarcasm. So, today I will say absolutely nothing. Just post the picture with no commentary whatsoever. Yep, it now is Mr. Neutral. Mr. No Comment, and Mr. Do Nothing, Say Nothing, See Nothing, just post the picture and go.

  1. I thought you were going to stop being negative. That is a very negative picture. That "Environmentally Friendly Car" has no motor. How negative.

You need to change your behavior.

    ;-)

P.S. I hope this is a temporary set-back and you will mend your ways.

  2. You really are a child like idiot, and this childish stunt is a new low, even for you.

Good bye, never enjoyed your blog that much anyway, but this was manipulation is the final straw.

  3. Come on Mister. Get back to your old ways. You can ramble if you want to. I'm not obligated to read it if *I* don't want to!

Use your people skills to "sell" this site and get more "customers" (you know, for advertisements)

  4. I wish folks would just enjoy what they can and not feel the need to be rude if they don't. We can't all like everything, and I for one am glad of it. That way I can make a site like this my homepage so I can get away from the news and get a look at a new great photograph every day. I really appreciate your work here, and I for one have always enjoyed reading all you write- I don't always agree, but why make enemies?

THANK YOU AGAIN!! I don't know what I'd do without this site every morning.

Add a comment section - people will comment on the pictures.
Post opinions - people will agree or not.
Add a comment section - people will tell you they agree or not.

  10. What in the world is wrong with people??? I thought this was YOUR blog, and doesn't that mean that you can post what you want and give YOUR opinion? If you try to stay sitting on the fence and never offer an opinion, this will become a pretty boring blog. Tell 'em to go read Peter Rabbit.

  14. I personally find everything about your reaction to everyone telling you not to be negative hilarious and entertaining. (In fact, it only made me want to read more.) What is all the fuss about? You would think you were insulting their mother, or something. Ooooo...shame on you for having a negative opinion...change change change. I also find your opinions on the future quite interesting, as well. (At least you have an opinion.) I think people who get offended by anything that is different than what they think need to learn how to debate. If the only response that they can give is, "You're being too negative/positive/sarcastic/sardonic," without giving any kind of argument back, they should just stop reading. This is YOUR blog...and as much as people are used to the media catering to their opinions, you are not writing this for a popularity contest. This represents your voice...not theirs. Don't let anyone else change it.

  15. I say just be yourself. This is your blog. You are entitled to your opinion in this country, but others are also entitled to theirs. The beauty of our country.

So, toughen up and continue to put in your two cents worth. We should all learn to respect the opinions of others, even when we disagree. Do onto others, right?

    Keep the opinions coming!

  16. Is PJM negative; is he positive, is he neutral? My take is a bit different: he is very often correct. I've known him for over 20 years, have discussed world affairs over lunch with him on countless occassions, and and I still mightily respect his opinions, even when they seem way outside the norm. After 20 years I have come to understand that the most amazing opinion, based on the best facts and logically thought through can result in conclusions outside the norm. His often are; but then again they are more often right than wrong. Enjoy.

  18. I really enjoy all of your pictures and commentaries. It is your blog and your right to say what you want. You are simply exercising your right to free speech. You will always have negative attacks from people who don't see your points or agree with them. But so what? From what I can tell, the majority of people who come to your blog give positive feedback and healthy opinions and dialoge. Whether or not I agree with your points of view (which I do 95% of the time), or anyone else for that matter is irrelevant. Please keep posting and blogging. This is your site and your voice. Don't stop doing what you're good at simply because of a few simpletons who don't like you because you share a different view from them.

  19. I find it funny that when one person suddenly speaks out... everyone else follow suit like a sheep.

From the student... still love the blog!

  20. Gee, the comment about not giving credit about the pictures you use is gone again. If you keep on deleting these, more people will question it.

  21. Is that Nancy Pelosi or Daisy May Moses? I'll bet that car runs off of corn whiskey from her backyard still.

    Back to the future!

  22. Your readers are blind....the motor is mounted on the wheel in the rear...this is the same motor used on bicycles to make them into mo-peds.

  23. Hey you! BE YOURSELF! Love your interesting photos. I may not agree with all your comments, but you might not agree with all I think. It's called 'conversation'.

  24. PJM,

Can we let the big 3 expire? Capitalist to a fault comes to mind; better discretion than valour.

    We don't have natural resources.

  25. Mr Neutral, Mr Do Nothing, Mr Say Nothing, that describes most Americans. We vote party line, we accept that what the government tells us is right/okay/unchangeable, we go along like sheep until something smacks us in the side of the head (or pocketbook as it were), and THEN we say "hey, what are you doing up there in Washington DC?!" If we would engage our brains and learn about what government is doing, maybe we would have an outcome more to OUR liking. Don't get me wrong, I'm just as guilty as the next guy, but I'm just saying...it's really kind of pathetic that the recent and contentious election had the highest voter turnout in what...20 years? Yep, Mr & Mrs Apathy have really settled into the couch.

  26. Had to come read all the reactions to your post. Found it amusing. I come to see the neat pictures and your comments are like listening to one of my friends...I just kinda read along, listening to your babble... nothing offends me...I don't go that deep with it.

I come for the pictures...that's what it's about for me. Keep it up!

  27. Who cares what others say? Your blog, your opinion. If they accuse you of whatever, then I would say they are being negative. Ignore them, you only add fuel to their fire when you react to them.

As a genealogist & family historian, I absolutely love the pictures.
