Auto Polo

This is a great image from the 1910's showing a friendly game of auto polo. I guess when the car first came out, people explored all the different ways that the car could replace the horse. It looks like a great game, and safe too. Nothing dangerous happening here. Party On!

  1. Love your blog, in spite of gloom, there is still humor in you. How about a "step one, step two, step three" plan to follow. I need help (as a single American) to make it through whatever is coming. I believe in what you say, if you are wrong, then praise the Lord, if you are right, then I gave it my best try.
I have friends who are already in trouble with debt and they are still spending like crazy. I worry for them.

  2. If you want to franchise this new sport, I bet GM,Ford or Chrysler would make you a good offer on the rolling (in all directions) stock. Imagine it, the ABC Bumper Caddies Game. Play on!

  3. I think this game would be more exciting if they used a steel ball and move the ball by firing .45 ACP bullets at it from 1911 pistols.

    Party on!

  4. AS long as you keep it funny, people can take it well. Obviously there are people worried out there, so add the humor with the comment. Better.

  5. This photo may show an old game of "auto polo," but I can assure you it illustrates the EXACT same driving conditions we experience every day here in Rhode Island.

I can assure you that I see scenes like this on Route 95 every day!!!

In fact, Rhode Island drivers make these guys seem tame by comparison!!
