Today is Saturday, so it is the day I post a picture of a person, and readers try and determine who it is. In past contests, it has taken about 5 minutes to get a winner. In the past, I gave a few clues, because I thought no one could possibly win. Because people have been winning so quickly, this time I am giving no clues at all, and we will see if anyone can figure out who this is. Good luck!Saturday, September 27, 2008

My guess is famous writer Ernest Hemmingway.
ReplyDeleteGood guess, but no it is not Earnest.
ReplyDeleteAndrew Carnegie!
ReplyDeleteLisa is the Winner !!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI thought for sure that no one would get this, as it is not a well known picture of him, and it was taken later in life. Also, I thought the hat made him look more like a working man.
Darn. Next week I will have to make it yet harder again.

I couldn't get that one. Good picture.
ReplyDeleteI never guess those!!! They are always interesting though...
ReplyDeleteMom
It may be a later in life photo but it looks like Andrew Carnegie. I knew it immediately.....
ReplyDeleteThat's easy
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, the had did throw me off a bit, but in the end, there was no question . . . Andrew Carnegie.
ReplyDeleteAndrew Carnegie
ReplyDeleteI believe that it is George Bernard Shaw.
ReplyDeleteIn fact it is Andrew Canegie. Next week the contest will be harder because people are winning too quickly. Next week will be a challenge so be sure and tune in on Saturday.

I was gonna say Popeye. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for such a great blog, the photos are fascinating !!
ReplyDeleteOn a light note though, after a first quick glance I thought this was a photo of Redd Foxx portraying Fred Sanford from "Sanford and Son" :)
Thanks again for all your hard work.
Cheers, F.O.
