This photograph was taken in 1905. It shows a cowboy in camp, entertaining his friends with rope tricks. The picture was taken some where in Oklahoma.

Could this have been at a movie shoot or "offstage" at a Wild West Show? Our star is just too clean. His hat looks like it's never been worn on the trail, his shirt is almost starched, those chaps are in sharp contrast to what the working cowboys behind him seem to be wearing. He just doesn't look like he's ever wrestled a calf to the ground!
