This picture was taken in 1910, and shows a man wearing some sort of pedal skates. I am not sure how they work, but it looks like that by raising and lowering your feet would cause the wheels to move.

ReplyDeleteIt looks as if this fellow went to a photographer and had his picture taken with props (the skates), he seems to be standing in front of a painted screen. Good picture but you wonder why he didn't choose a cowboy hat and chapps and maybe stand by a stuffed horse. Yours is the best blog around. CS
