My niece spent time in D.C. studying the Lincoln administration papers. Old photos are fascinating and rich in history. Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the post. It is amazing what quality photographs were made in the 1860's. I think the quality of photography gradually went down in the decades following the 1860's as people moved to simpler (but lower quality) photographic platforms.
