World War I Soldier

An American Soldier in World War I, eating his rations.

  1. That's a good photo.
Squalid conditions of life, lean rations - but he still has good mood. I think there are many things we must inherit from this generation.

  2. Image of unidentified enlisted soldier "31st Division in training Camp Wheeler, Macon, Ga. Soldier of the Division at mess." U.S. Army Signal Corps photograph #4650 taken February 5, 1918 by Lt. H. P. Kingsmore, Signal R.C. (Reserve Corps later U.S. Army Reserve)
